i’ll say this, for me amon and the lieutenant had a more compelling and emotionally resonant relationship in the finale than makorra did. seriously. i cared more about how the lieutenant felt when he was betrayed by his idol than when mako and korra were flouncing around the SWT in melodrama.

Dude, what was the point of Mako and Asami even being together in the first place? Why couldn’t she have been introduced as an independent character outside of a relationship? Seriously, their relationship had no point except to provide forced drama for a really boring and irritating love triangle.
