Bolin’s Bizarre Love Stories

Wut? So…not only did they not show Bolin’s love for Korra serious in season 1….now they have to make his romance in season 2….”bizarre”?

Poor guy can’t even have a serious relationship. My money is on Korra’s female cousin. Can’t have Korra but he gets the second best thing, someone related to her. 

Bleh. 

Let’s hope I’m wrong….

I loved it….but I wasn’t completely excited.

It would have made some interesting dynamics in season 2 if her powers weren’t given back. Plus, her preferred bending powers were taken and all she was left was the bending she has problems with. It is also the one that is the most spiritual. I don’t know. It’s just that Korra was given her bending so quickly. What’s it called again? Deu ex machina or something like that. 

However, I DID enjoy it regardless. But my excitement was somewhat…dampened…

I do understand that this season was meant to be a stand-alone so of course they had to give it to her quickly. 

Then again, I preferred this deu ex machina -thing then the forced Makorra scene not long after.

The show isn’t that bad. It’s pretty good. Amazing sometimes. But I can sympathize. To be honest, it’s just fanfiction. Let them have their fun.

The writing was. 

I’m still watching the show and there are good moments. It’s just sad that a stupid LOVE triangle was introduced. It bogs everything down. It wasn’t even executed properly. The show is a mini-series so having romance like that was stupid. I love the show but I’m not on it 100% like before.

It’s hard to but I’m done. No matter how much we explain and point them out, the show’s future has already been set in stone. Season 1 will be over soon and season 2’s writing was finished.

I don’t care anymore. 

I’m just going to sit back and watch the show unfold.

I never “hated” on Mako.

I actually gave good reasons why I don’t like him. I pointed it out as have many others (minus the ones who hate without explaining why). What bothers me is his development in relation to himself and others close to him. 

He is INCONSISTENT and a JERK (and I’m not happy with Korra either). 

But I’m done.

You guys win.

I will accept that he is a “typical” teenager. I will accept that his crush came out of nowhere. I will accept the many inconsistencies in the Makorra romance. I will accept that the show was meant to be only 12 episodes hence the lack of development. I will accept that Korra even won’t own up to what she did (kiss) and what she is doing now (flirting). I will accept that Mako will not be punished for what he did. I will accept that Bolin “got over” the kiss and it meant “nothing”. I will accept that Bolin’s and Asami’s feelings don’t matter.

And finally, I will accept that Makorra will be endgame.

Hell, I’m not even shipping BORRA anymore because the development sucks now.
